TRAVELLERS AND GREEK HISTORIANS: RESEARCHERS OF THE ESSENCE OF MAN AND CULTURE. (English)
Meditation about man is a deep and essential topic of philosophy. It is considered one of philosopher's humanizing facts which differences critical thought of religion or science. In Greece the reflection on man was so worked that we forced to place this research line only in socratic speech. But what about tragedy, comedy, mysterical religions, poetry, medicine and history? This short article studies contributions of some antique historiographers. Besides seeking a essence of man, ancient history, proposes a whole new knowledge scheme which can be considered philosophical. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]
La meditación acerca del hombre es un tópico profundo y esencial para Ia filosofía. Se considera uno de los aspectos humanizantes del filosofar que permite distinguir el pensamiento crítico de la religión o Ia ciencia materialista. En la Hélade Ia reflexión en torno al hombre fue muy trabajada, nos empeñamos en ubicar esta Iínea de investigación solamente dentro del discurso socrático, empero ¿qué hay de la tragedia, la comedia, las religiones mistéricas, la poesía, la medicina y la historia? En este breve trabajo se estudiarán las contribuciones de algunos historiadores antiguos. Además de buscar Ia esencia del hombre, Ia historia antigua propuso todo un esquema nuevo de conocimiento, mismo que puede considerarse filosófico. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]
