The role of gravitational body forces in the development of metamorphic core complexes

Publication Type: Academic Journal

Source(s): Nature Communications, Vol 13, Iss 1, Pp 1-19 (2022)

Abstract: A long-standing controversy surrounds low-angle nature of observed detachment faults within metamorphic core complexes. Here, the authors show that post-orogenic collapse of mountain belts can create a low-angle detachment, resolving the controversy.

Precision measurement of forward Z boson production in proton-proton collisions at s $$ \sqrt{\mathrm{s}} $$ = 13 TeV

Publication Type: Academic Journal

Source(s): Journal of High Energy Physics, Vol 2022, Iss 7, Pp 1-57 (2022)

Abstract: Abstract A precision measurement of the Z boson production cross-section at s $$ \sqrt{\mathrm{s}} $$ = 13 TeV in the forward region is presented, using pp collision data collected by the LHCb detector, corresponding to an integrated luminosity of 5.1 ...

Constraints on the CKM angle γ from B ± → Dh ± decays using D → h ± h′∓ π 0 final states

Publication Type: Academic Journal

Source(s): Journal of High Energy Physics, Vol 2022, Iss 7, Pp 1-24 (2022)

Abstract: Abstract A data sample collected with the LHCb detector corresponding to an integrated luminosity of 9 fb −1 is used to measure eleven CP violation observables in B ± → Dh ± decays, where h is either a kaon or a pion. The neutral D meson decay is recon...

ESBL plasmids in Klebsiella pneumoniae: diversity, transmission and contribution to infection burden in the hospital setting

Publication Type: Academic Journal

Source(s): Genome Medicine, Vol 14, Iss 1, Pp 1-13 (2022)

Abstract: Abstract Background Resistance to third-generation cephalosporins, often mediated by extended-spectrum beta-lactamases (ESBLs), is a considerable issue in hospital-associated infections as few drugs remain for treatment. ESBL genes are often located on...

Epidemiology and genomic analysis of Klebsiella oxytoca from a single hospital network in Australia

Publication Type: Academic Journal

Source(s): BMC Infectious Diseases, Vol 22, Iss 1, Pp 1-10 (2022)

Abstract: Abstract Background Infections caused by Klebsiella oxytoca are the second most common cause of Klebsiella infections in humans. Most studies have focused on K. oxytoca outbreaks and few have examined the broader clinical context of K. oxytoca. Methods...

Summit of the N=40 island of inversion: Precision mass measurements and ab initio calculations of neutron-rich chromium isotopes

Publication Type: Academic Journal

Source(s): Physics Letters B, Vol 833, Iss , Pp 137288- (2022)

Abstract: Mass measurements continue to provide invaluable information for elucidating nuclear structure and scenarios of astrophysical interest. The transition region between the Z=20 and 28 proton shell closures is particularly interesting due to the onset and...

Search for the decay B 0 → ϕμ + μ −

Publication Type: Academic Journal

Source(s): Journal of High Energy Physics, Vol 2022, Iss 5, Pp 1-21 (2022)

Abstract: Abstract A search for the decay B 0 → ϕμ + μ − is performed using proton-proton collisions at centre-of-mass energies of 7, 8, and 13 TeV collected by the LHCb experiment and corresponding to an integrated luminosity of 9 fb −1. No evidence for the B 0...

Adaptive leadership in clinical encounters with women living with HIV

Publication Type: Academic Journal

Source(s): BMC Women's Health, Vol 22, Iss 1, Pp 1-8 (2022)

Abstract: Abstract Background Women living with HIV (WLWH) report low engagement in health care, missed office visits, and less engagement in the clinical encounter. Strengthening the clinical encounter for WLWH may improve health outcomes and quality of life. T...

Comparison of early warning scores for predicting clinical deterioration and infection in obstetric patients

Publication Type: Academic Journal

Source(s): BMC Pregnancy and Childbirth, Vol 22, Iss 1, Pp 1-9 (2022)

Abstract: Abstract Background Early warning scores are designed to identify hospitalized patients who are at high risk of clinical deterioration. Although many general scores have been developed for the medical-surgical wards, specific scores have also been deve...
